Kepler Student Life

Kepler Student Life is a place to build community, sharpen key life skills, and of course, an outlet for fun. Any students enrolled in Kepler classes are able to connect with each other through service, clubs, and professional development activities.

The mission of Student Life is to provide Kepler students with a full-fledged student experience that teaches them leadership and management skills, while providing them with the tools to integrate their education into their lives. Student Life seeks to help in preparing them for their future lives as men and women of God, whether in church, in college, at work, or at home.

For the Student

In connection with teacher-mentors, students have the freedom and flexibility to form or plug in to their own clubs, structure their own bylaws, and organize events. Leadership opportunities are available at the Student Council and club level.

For the Teacher

Kepler Life allows teachers to foster their love of mentorship and creativity. Consider overseeing a club that you and your students are passionate about. Guide the next generation by enriching their leadership skills in an environment of grace.

For the Families

Kepler Life includes student services, which offers student IDs (get that discount at the movie theater or science museum!) and transcripts. Kepler Education wants to serve homeschooling families as fully as possible, whether they are on our Diploma Track or taking a single class.

Kepler Magazine & Yearbook

One unique aspect of the student consortium is our student magazine–the Kepler Eccentric. This publication aims to showcase the work of students whether it be artwork, musical compositions, essay, poems, or photography, just to name a few. View past editions of the Kepler Eccentric here.

The Kepler Student Council oversees the overall production of the magazine, and delegates tasks to individual students. Appointed mentors will coordinate with students and teachers in order to provide a quality digest of student accomplishments.

The Student Council also spearheads the production of the yearbook.

Kepler Community: Our Clubs

Leadership opportunities are not limited to Student Council. Every club needs student leadership!

STUDENT COUNCIL

Student Council is an opportunity for students to take on responsibility, hone leadership skills, and manage various projects for the Kepler Community. Student Council will plan their own agenda for each academic year, including student body volunteer events, social calendar, yearbook, and the Kepler Eccentric.

CHESS CLUB

Kepler Chess Club is a way for Kepler students to get to know each other by playing chess. Players compete with each other in daring feats of strategic brilliance. But the real fun of the club is the wide-ranging chatter and commentary that accompanies the games!

FIRESIDERS CLUB

Fireside club is a place for students to come together and think deeply about a plethora of important questions. Its goal is to inspire the little philosopher in all of us.

ART CLUB

The purpose of this club is to improve art skills, enjoy art with friends, to  share museums, past artwork, and local exhibits where you can observe art, to refine your skills of discovering beauty through man-made art and God’s creation, and to learn more about various artists.

AGE OF EMPIRES CLUB

This club is for all those people on Kepler who play Age of Empires. The purpose of this club is to further a sense of community and relationship between fellow Christians and glorify God with our recreation.

The Quad

Kepler provides a Slack workspace (the Kepler Quad) where students and teachers can interact around shared interests. Discussion is always lively in the “Debate” and “Random and Entertainment" channels, and students encourage each other’s artistic pursuits in various “Guild” channels, such as Music, Art, and Photography.

Get Connected

Students, we hope you take advantage of this opportunity to have fun, develop peer relationships, gain extra access to your instructors’ wisdom, and increase your leadership experience.

Contact Dr. Gregory Soderberg (Student Life Coordinator) if you have further questions.
